The dance
studio

Both a main venue of a dancer’s daily life and a “mysterious and magical” space for creation, the dance studio is a sanctuary - the matrix of ballet. 

It is in this large space comprised of mirrors and bars that the dancers meet every morning to warm up and take their class. A piano is facing the dancers and gives them the tempo. 

This is also where the dancers rehearse ballets and create new performances with Thierry Malandain. 

CCN Malandain Ballet Biarritz has two studios. They are occupied on a regular basis by companies from all over France, hosted for creating.  

By opening the doors of its studios on a regular basis to the public during public rehearsals, Malandain Ballet Biarritz provides the opportunity to get as close as possible to this essential work space for dancers.
