Ballet
masters

Ballet masters are an essential part of the company organization.
They schedule the dancers' working days, whether they are in Biarritz or on tours, and they are the link between administrative and technical teams. They usually organize rehearsals, give dancers classical ballet classes (or lessons), and they mainly assist the choreographer during the ballet creation process.
They can also teach dancers from other companies a ballet choreography: that is what we call restaging a ballet or, more generally, passing the repertoire.

The story
In Abu Dhabi, during a performance in front of an exclusively feminine audience, the ballet master, who had to oversee the lighting in the management deck that night, happily negotiated to manage the cue list, even though men were prohibited from entering the theatre. A ballet master must be able to do everything.
