Accounting

The accountant is the person who manages inputs and outputs of the Ballet’s money. She’s in charge of salaries, invoices, expenditures, taxes… which are necessary for smooth running of the Ballet. She ensures that the Ballet gets paid, for example, after a performance, by drawing up invoices. She mostly works on her computer to record ingoing and outgoing money on an accounting software. The accounting work helps translate the Ballet activity into numbers.

The story
“At the accounting department, we see every type of invoices – some of which can even seem a little bit weird – which show everything necessary to run a Ballet and how many people necessary to work around the 22 dancers. During creation periods of new ballets, about a hundred people can be employed for a few weeks.
